The most cherished and greatest holiday for our people - Navruz, the Eastern New Year, continues. Yesterday, a spring sumalak cooking ceremony was held at the Family Orphanage No. 2 in Khiva. This event, which is one of our national traditions and customs, began with great joy.
Under the leadership of our grandmothers and great-grandmothers, the children were given the necessary ingredients and told stories about the creation of sumalak.
This day, which is a unique expression of our traditions, has laid a wide foundation for the younger generation to realize such high feelings as kindness, compassion and dignity.
