A trip of children from the "Family Orphanage" to the kayak and canoe sports complex

Rowing and canoeing competitions began in the 60s of the XIX century with the emergence of rowing clubs in many European countries, and sports competitions were held first in kayaks, then in canoeing. Kayaking competitions are held among men and women, and canoeing - only among men. Kayaks are single, double and quadruple, canoes are single and double. Since 1972, kayak and canoe slalom competitions have been included in the program of the Olympic Games as an experiment and have caused great interest and uncompromising competition.
In Uzbekistan, amateurs of this sport have been training and participating in competitions in water bodies, rivers and streams since the 1950s.In December 2021, a kayak and canoe sports complex was built and put into operation on the east side of the "Old and Eternal Bukhara" complex in the regional center.
Nowadays, this institution, which effectively and efficiently organizes their leisure time, is becoming more and more popular among the population, youth, guests and tourists.On April 19 of this year, officials of the Bukhara regional department of the National Guard organized a trip to the complex for children from the "Family Orphanage", organized in the region. Students of the Bukhara Institute of Engineering and Technology, who attended the event as guests, accompanied the students.
During the trip, the young people got acquainted with the history of the sport, the achievements of our promising athletes and the systematic work of our government to promote the sport, as well as visited the gyms of athletes and got acquainted with the training process.
During the event, experts provided detailed answers to questions asked by young people interested in the sport.
